Grateful Patient: Dr. Michaud and Noah

Noah Schwartz began experiencing a heavy cough in April 2021. Within weeks, physicians had diagnosed the 24-year-old from Jupiter, Fla., with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer that invades the body's lymph nodes. In Noah's case, the lymph nodes in his upper body were creating a large mass that pressed against his windpipe, heart and lungs. USF Health pulmonologist Gaetane Michaud, MD, provided the necessary care, including seven weeks of chemotherapy, during which Noah spent in a medically induced coma.
