The 30th annual Johnson County Veterans Day observance was held at Memorial Park in Olathe. The event included music, placement of memorial wreaths by local veteran organizations and an address by Col. Peter Jaramillo, the state chaplain. Among his messages was a wish for a peaceful transfer of power following the presidential election of Donald Trump.
