John Adams, PhD, a distinguished USF Health professor, and his team are conducting pioneering research into finding a vaccine for malaria, specifically vivax malaria. Dr. Adams was recently awarded a $5 million grant from the NIH to continue his research. Dr. Adams has also used monoclonal antibodies research to target malaria parasites and was able to apply his previous work to COVID-19 research.
